The essentials
Live ride tracking
Speed, distance, climb and your route, drawn live on the map. Big, rounded numbers you can read at a glance from the handlebars.
Routes, planned properly
Build cycling routes with Apple Maps directions, see the elevation before you commit to it, and keep your favourite places a tap away.
Private by design
No accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no server to send anything to. Your rides live on your phone, and your own iCloud if you choose.
Free, forever
No subscription, no paywall, no unlockables. There's an optional tip jar, and that is the entire business model.
…and the rest of the pannier
Bluetooth sensors: heart rate, cadence, speed and power.
Elevation everywhere: terrain-accurate hill profiles for rides and plans.

Privacy & Support
Privacy
Your rides, routes, and profile are stored only on your device (and your own iCloud, if you turn it on). AuraVelo has no server of its own and never collects your data.
To make certain features work, the app sends limited data to third parties, used only to provide that feature:
- Apple — Maps (show the map, search places, plan cycling routes), WeatherKit (conditions for a ride), Health (save the rides you choose to, as workouts), and the App Store (process an optional tip). Governed by Apple's privacy policy.
- Amazon Web Services — approximate location, to look up terrain elevation for hills via AWS Terrain Tiles. Governed by AWS's privacy policy.
- OpenStreetMap — utilized for Overpass API access to assist in routing and map data.
This data is never sold, never used for advertising, and never linked to you for tracking. Deleting a ride, or the app, removes its data from your device; anything saved to Apple Health is managed in the Health app.
Support
Users can submit issue reports through the app under Settings → Report a Problem.
AuraVelo is offered free, as-is, with no dedicated support.
